TIA568 Wiring Standards

How to decide which wiring pattern to use:

1. Does the job specification call out a wiring pattern?
2. Does the customer/end user have a preference for T568A or T568B?
3. Have patch panels already been purchased for the job? If so, they will probably be either T568A or T568B. The jacks should be wired to the same pattern as the panels.
4. Are you adding on to an existing wiring plant? If so, your new wiring should match the existing wiring.

If none of the factors above apply, either T568A or T568B may be used. It is important to ensure that the workstation connectors and the patch panels are wired to the same pattern. T568B is commonly used in commercial installations, while T568A is prevalent in residential installations.

Middle Atlantic MBRK Series Maple Racks

The same construction as the OBRK racks in a maple finish, these racks offer the same value-oriented engineering to create a new line of modular equipment racks. The MBRK series racks feature an attractive 3/4" maple laminate construction, and utilize modern 1/4-turn fasteners and threaded inserts to preserve a sleek outward appearance free from the presence of plugs or other hardware. Easily assembled with included hardware, each rack features factory-installed 11-gauge, 10-32 threaded rackrail. Available in 18", 22" and 28" deep the MBRK come in 8, 12, 16, 20 and 28 space sizes.

NOTE: To install power strips, quick clips must be screwed to sides, or #PB-5A used on optional rear rackrail.
