TIA568 Wiring Standards

How to decide which wiring pattern to use:

1. Does the job specification call out a wiring pattern?
2. Does the customer/end user have a preference for T568A or T568B?
3. Have patch panels already been purchased for the job? If so, they will probably be either T568A or T568B. The jacks should be wired to the same pattern as the panels.
4. Are you adding on to an existing wiring plant? If so, your new wiring should match the existing wiring.

If none of the factors above apply, either T568A or T568B may be used. It is important to ensure that the workstation connectors and the patch panels are wired to the same pattern. T568B is commonly used in commercial installations, while T568A is prevalent in residential installations.

WHA900 650-w Adjustable Air and Temperature Hot air station with built in turbine

WHA900 650-w Adjustable Air and Temperature Hot air station with built in turbine

Weller WHA900 650-w Adjustable Air and Temperature Hot Air Rework Station with Built-In Turbine and Internal Pump, 120 V

With 650 watts of power, internal air adjustable from 5 L/min. to 50 L/min. and temperature variable from 100°F to 1,000°F, the new Weller® WHA900 Hot Air Station is a solid performer. But what really puts the WHA900 ahead is its closed-loop temperature feedback control that maintains the temperature at the nozzle, independent of the airflow rate.

The Secret Is The Sensor

The WHA900 has a sensor located at the nozzle that continuously samples the temperature and instantly adjusts the heat output to maintain the temperature you've pre-selected. So you don't have to readjust the temperature every time you change the airflow rate. Set it once and forget it. So your rework production increases and your reject rate goes down. That's the Weller Advantage.

The WHA900 is the only unit in its class that has a temperature and air flow setback than can be pre-selected by the user. Plus it's the only unit that features a temperature offset control that fine-tunes the hot air temperature right at the tip when an ultra-precise temperature is required for thermocoupled component removal.
